Antenatal care (ANC) is an essential health service aimed at monitoring the condition of the mother and fetus to ensure a healthy pregnancy and detect complications early. However, the level of activeness of pregnant women in attending ANC visits is often influenced by various factors, including health history and the distance of residence from health facilities. This study aimed to determine the relationship between health history and distance of residence with the activeness of pregnant women in conducting ANC visits in the working area of Sinorang Community Health Center, Banggai Regency. This research employed a descriptive-analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of all pregnant women in the working area of Sinorang Community Health Center, totaling 32 respondents, selected through the total sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets from maternal and child health (MCH) books, and analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a confidence level of 95% (α = 0.05).The results showed that out of 32 respondents, the majority of pregnant women had a good health history (53.1%), and 22 women (68.8%) were active in conducting ANC visits. Statistical analysis indicated a significant relationship between health history and ANC visit activeness (p = 0.007) and between distance of residence and ANC visit activeness (p = 0.002). These findings suggest that the better the health history and the easier the access to health facilities, the higher the level of activeness of pregnant women in attending ANC visits. It can be concluded that health history and distance of residence significantly influence the activeness of pregnant women in conducting ANC visits. Therefore, health workers are expected to enhance health education and conduct home visits, especially for pregnant women with poor health conditions or those living far from health facilities.
